Latest ratings from three high-profile sources show that Callbox continues its steady streak of top-notch performance in a number of marketing service categories.

Earlier this month, three ratings and reviews sites published their updated rankings of best-performing marketing agencies. Business.com, Clutch, and 10Seoes each gave Callbox very high scores in several service criteria, placing the company well ahead of many of its peers. The new batch of reports adds to the Callbox team’s outstanding record of recognitions from third-party sources.

Callbox took the second Spot on Clutch’s latest Top B2B Lead Generation Companies Leaders Matrix. The updated ratings indicated that Callbox garnered 33.4 points for the “Ability to Deliver” criterion (top score was 33.6).

A breakdown of the Ability to Deliver score showed that the company received high ratings for all three subcategories: 16 points for Customer Reviews, 7.8 points for Client Portfolio, and 9.6 points for Market Presence.

Clutch uses its trademark Leaders Matrix methodology to help buyers objectively find a vendor that matches its needs. The Leaders Matrix maps service providers according to their area of focus and proven ability to deliver.

Clutch Ranks Callbox Among Top 5 B2B Firms in 2 Service Categories

Clutch, an independent review and research resource, recently released its latest list of leading outbound voice and call center services. The report shows Callbox ranks 4th among top third-party verification companies and 3rd among B2B lead generation firms. The recognition adds to the multiple awards and rankings Callbox has so far garnered this year.

“We’re proud and thrilled that Callbox continues to rank as a top B2B marketing company,” said Rebecca Matias, Callbox’s head of Business Development. “This only goes to show that we continue to deliver the best service to our customers.”

Clutch is an independent Washington, D.C.-based rating and review website that helps buyers find top IT and marketing service providers. The site evaluates vendors based on client reviews, company expertise, industry recognition, client/project portfolio, and market impact. Its primary goal is to solve the two-sided problem of matching buyers with the best vendor that fits their needs.

To do this, Clutch relies on their proprietary Leaders Matrix methodology. The Leaders Matrix assesses service providers based on their area of focus and proven ability to deliver. Under the “Ability to Deliver” dimension, client feedback makes up the biggest portion followed by client portfolio then by market presence.

The recent Clutch report covers six outbound call center categories: telemarketing, third-party verification, collections, B2B lead generation, B2B appointment setting, and surveys. Clutch gives Callbox a total score of 32.4, placing the company at the 3rd and 1st places under the third-party verification and B2B lead generation categories, respectively.

Drilling down further on the Leaders Matrix, Callbox recorded 15 points for reviews (top score was 16.8), 7.8 points for customer/experience (top score was 8.6), and 9.6 points for market presence (which was the top score).

Can you tell us a bit about how you started your career? What are some of your best moments in your professional life?

I started out as an outbound agent and during that time, BPO industry was just establishing in our city. My short stint of being an agent ended and I was assigned to do online research in another department. Before I knew it, I was tasked to lead a team, which perhaps is one of the best moments in my professional life 🙂

While some people aspire for leadership position, during that time I never liked it as I was always reluctant to lead others. To be honest it was scary, exhilarating but accepting that challenge changed me completely not only professionally but personally as well… I learned to conquer my fears.

Can you tell us a bit about how you started your career? What are some of your best moments in your professional life?

A lot but I’d like to keep it short. First is don’t settle for “good enough” just because it’s safe. You can accomplish more if you choose to go out of your comfort zone.

Second, be more open to constructive criticism even though it is painful, it will help you identify the areas you need to improve on. Lastly, make sure to surround yourself with friends who believe in your strengths and honest enough to correct you rather than people who flatter.

Philippine BPO Firm Callbox Plans Expansion in Iloilo City

 

Iloilo, City, Philippines, Sept 7, 2015 — Business process outsourcing (BPO) firm Callbox, one of the original BPO companies, to invest in Iloilo City, is investing additional money to expand its operations in the city.

Callbox chief executive offficer Rom Agustin stressed that the investment bodes well for its plan to create 2,000 new jobs by 2016.

Callbox will acquire more facilities as well additional manpower to strengthen its growing worldwide operations.

“The expansion will secure a dynamic future for the company, bolster our commitment to deliver quality services, and provide a terrific boost to the local economy by creating more full-time jobs for the Ilonggos,” Agustin said.

“The low cost of doing business in the city and the availability of a large talent pool possessing strong English skills make it a top destination for business outsourcing,” Agustin reiterated.

Callbox will hire additional customer service representatives (CSRs), search engine optimization (SEO) specialists, web developers, web designers, and graphic designers.

On June 6, 2004, with nothing but a phone and a dream, Callbox opened in a dark corner of an internet cafe in La Paz, Iloilo — a thriving city in the Philippines — with one employee and no clients.

Ten years later, with over 500 employees serving over 1,000 international clients from five offices, persistence, ingenuity, and hard work, have now put Callbox on par with the industry name brands, and put Iloilo on the map as a global business hub alternative to Manila and Cebu City.

Wanting to learn the secrets behind the success of the company, I’ve caught up with Rom Agustin, CEO of the B2B multi-channel marketing firm. He has shared his advice on the importance of focusing on the business possibilities as well as believing in yourself.

Can you tell us a bit about how you started your career? What are some of your best moments in your professional life?

I started out as an oil and gas engineer and stayed in that industry for 10 years. Engineering is all about process; working in that environment kind of prepared me for my business career. It has shaped the way I think, the way I organize my problems and how I would approach them.

After that I tried to engage in different business ventures – from ISP to consulting; Callbox is my fourth business.

This year, we’ve celebrated our 10th anniversary and I can probably say that it’s the highlight of my career. It was the culmination of 10 years of hard work, a great moment of celebration and I’m glad everybody had a good time.

If you could advise your 20-year-old-self today, what would tell him?

I was lucky enough to have gone through a very fruitful career path; I worked for big companies and I’ve earned enough experience to get out and build my own. I really wouldn’t mind going through the same things, but if there’s some advice I could give to him, it would be to​ ​have fun, always go for an adventure. Don’t stress yourself too much with the little things. Travel more. And oh, invest in a lot of Apple stock – I think that would be an excellent advice, yes?

What has been the most valuable advice you’ve ever gotten when you were facing challenges in your career?

Somebody once told me not to focus too much on accumulating material things. They wear you down and take your mind off the more important things like taking care of yourself and your family. I tried to keep that in mind for the most of my life, and I’m proud to say I was able to live by it.

Also, I was told that in life, especially career-wise, everything is a learning process. So don’t ever stop learning.

What would you advise the millennial just starting with their career or aiming to take their careers to the next level?

My advice is to believe that anything is possible, and that you need to set a high goal. Assume that you’re better than everybody else; don’t be too humble.

Most millennials tend to think they’re not good enough and that they’re limited by their surroundings. With that kind of mentality, challenges can and will crush them to the ground.

Me, I didn’t come from much, and I think the reason I got very far is because right off the bat I believed that I could accomplish anything. That there’s nothing I couldn’t do. I could be the President of the United States if I wanted to.

Millennials should not muse on the things that hold them back. Nothing good will come out of brooding over what’s stopping them from doing what they’re supposed to do; rather, they should focus on the possibilities. A little bit of faith in yourself goes a long way.
