Just about every internet marketer I ever talked with over the past 4-5 years has this problem - not enough sales leads to promote their product or services to - so its fairly safe to assume that if you are reading this article you have similar problems with your business, resulting from a lack of a consistent sales lead generation strategy.
- Too few sales leads
- Too little cash flow from the sales
- Too expensive to buy leads
- Too unresponsive, sales leads do convert to prospects or sales
- Too few visitors to web site
There are also those never ending stories, and offers that are just too good to be true out there, about getting 10’s of thousands of traffic hits, or sales lead generation companies offering sales leads for next to nothing in cost.
But you say…..you need to get more traffic to make some cash.
And you are somewhat right, but it is only after you really learn how to use a sales lead generation strategy that will build you the core asset of any online business - the sales lead that has given you their contact information - becomes an integral part of your prospect lists - that you will be able to create a positive cash flow regularly.
How do you create your sales lead generation strategy?
First, learn how to sell your visitors on giving you their contact information the first time they visit.
- Get an auto responder account - I use and recommend Aweber
- Create a squeeze page - sole purpose is to collect contact info
- Create a series of valuable content emails or ecourse for your email campaign
- Add in affiliate products or your own products to your email campaign
Second, choose and test one traffic source until you are getting reasonable conversion rates at every step through your sales funnel.
Only then do you test another source completely before committing it to your strategy.
It is important to study and master each traffic source before adding others, also by retailing lower priced items at the top, or front end of your sales funnel, you will not only create a positive cash flow to reduce any advertising costs, but build trust for future larger ticket items deeper into the sales funnel.
